Aanand L. Rai seems to be on a roll this year when he announced his next movie after Atrangi Re. With a cast of stars as unique as Atrangi Re starring Sara Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Dhanush, audiences are excited to see what the director has in store for them with his upcoming. While the trio is still shooting Atrangi Re, Aanand L. Rai has announced his next directorial adventure to be a biopic.
The film will be based on the life of the great Indian chess master, Viswanathan Anand. His own production house, Color Yellow Productions, will produce the film in association with Mahaveer Jain’s Sundial Entertainment. While there is a lot of speculation about the cast, the creators are still searching for the ideals.
The film is expected to be released sometime in mid-2021.
