Recently, Abhishek Bachchan has been busy promoting his newly released left, right and center film. After his release, too, he has been giving interviews, talking about the film, the cast and his journey, his personal life and so on. In one such interview, Abhishek opened up about why he had to leave college. He revealed he had left because his father Amitabh Bachchan, now a megastar, was going through a financial crisis and felt he needed to be there, although there was only so much he could do. Speaking as a candidate, Abhishek said, ‘Well, frankly, I left university – I was studying at Boston University. I had declared my major as a liberal arts, and then I majored in performing arts. And I left my education because my dad was going through this tough time, financially. He had started this business called ABCL. ‘Junior Bachchan revealed that after coming back to India, he started helping his father around the company. He also went on to share how his father sat him down one night in his study and told him about their depleted finances. He said his father had told him that his films were not doing well at the box office and he was not getting any work. He then went on to share how his father decided to take matters into his own hands and went to Yash Chopra the next day to ask for work. He added, ‘Look, I have no job, nobody gives me work anymore, my films don’t work, and I’ve come to ask you to give me a film to work on.’ Big B was offered a pivotal role in Chopra’s next big movie and from then on, he was unhindered. Today, at the age of 78, he is a megastar and is well known and respected by all. With age, his performances only get better and we can’t wait to see what Big B has to offer the Hindi film industry next.
