Several BJP activists and leaders were seriously injured in the attack. Several cars and media vehicles were wrecked. Nadda, who was traveling in a bullet-proof vehicle, escaped unharmed. Nadda flagged that West Bengal was made a goonda kingdom. Durgamata is said to have escaped safely by grace. Ridhima said that the BJP’s victory in the Assembly elections would give the goonda kingdom a fair go. State Governor Jagadeep Dhankhar responded immediately after learning of the attack. During a meeting of BJP workers, the DGP tweeted that he had warned the CS in advance of possible tensions in Diamond Harbor. The central government took the attack seriously. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered an inquiry into the incident. He asked the state governor to send an immediate report on the security situation in West Bengal. CM Mamata Banerjee has countered the allegations made by BJP leaders. The attack on Nadda was dismissed as a drama. He said police would investigate if there was any conspiracy in the attack.Source
