WASHINGTON: A man of Indian descent has been named to the US space agency NASA as it prepares to set foot on the moon once again. The company recently announced that 43-year-old Raja John Vurputhur Chari is training to take part in their manned lunar mission ‘Artemis’. Raja Chari said on the occasion that he was proud to be a part of this ambitious event that will bring humans to the moon. He said that he got this opportunity due to the good upbringing of his parents. He thanked them on this occasion. He was educated at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) American Air Force Academy and the US Naval Test Pilot School. After joining NASA in 2017, he got the opportunity to be a part of the historic American Moon mission. NASA explained on the occasion that their lunar mission was made up of many specialties.
