Cumulative vaccination in India crosses a mark of 13.22 cr

New Delhi, April 21 (IANS): The total number of Covid vaccinations nationwide crossed the 13.22 crore mark on Wednesday with more than 21.21 lakh vaccine doses administered until evening.

According to the Union Ministry of Health, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the country is 13,22,40,352 until 8 pm on Wednesday, according to the interim report.

“These include 92,19,080 Health Care Workers (CHCs) who have taken the first dose and 58,51,361 CHCs who have taken the second dose. 1,16,28,882 Frontline Workers (FLWs) have taken the first dose and 59,32,541 FLWs have been taken on receiving the second dose 4,43,89,584 people aged 45 to 60 have given first and second doses to 16,28,837 people aged 45 age and 60 years.

The first dose of the vaccine was also administered to 4,78,44,204 beneficiaries over the age of 60 and the second dose administered was 57,45,863 over 60 years of age.

“A total of 21,21,042 vaccine doses were given until 8 pm today, the 96th day of Covid vaccination nationwide. 14,35,858 beneficiaries were vaccinated from the first dose and 6,85,184 beneficiaries received a second dose of the vaccine as per the interim report. Final reports for the day would be completed by late tonight, “the Ministry of Health said.
