The veteran actor will embark on his first phase of the electoral campaign between Sunday and December 16. It is planned to cover the districts of Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanniyakumari.

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the new Parliament building on December 10. However, the building’s construction has been shelved for now after the Supreme Court criticized the Union government for “aggressively advancing” on the project even before a decision on the petitions. challenging him.

The new building will have an area of ​​64,500 square meters and is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 971 million. In addition, it will be resistant to earthquakes and 2,000 people will participate directly in the construction of the new building and 9,000 indirectly.

Haasan, who started his party with a centrist policy, clean and free of corruption, had said that he would enter the electoral contest in the next assembly elections in Tamil Nadu as the main ministerial candidate of the MNM. His party would seek the support of actor Rajinikanth, Haasan had previously told reporters.

He had obtained a vote share of approximately 3.7% in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
