Kangana Ranaut and the crew from his next film, Texas, met with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday. He shared images from the meeting on Twitter and said they sought his blessing for the film, in which he plays a pilot in the Indian Air Force.
In his tweet, Kangana also said that they shared the Texas script with the Indian Air Force and looked for some permits. “Today the #Tejas team met with the Honorable Minister of Defense Shri @rajnathsingh ji to receive his blessings, we also shared the script for our movie Tejas with @IAF_MCC and sought some permits, Jai Hind,” he wrote.
Tejas is directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Earlier, in a statement, Kangana had said: “I have always wanted to play a soldier and have been fascinated by the Armed Forces since childhood. I have never held back my emotions for our jaws and have spoken openly about how strong I feel for his heroism. They keep our country safe and our people safe. So, I am very happy to be making this movie. “

Meanwhile, Kangana has just wrapped up filming for his next film, Thalaivi, in which he plays the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa. The film, directed by AL Vijay, will dramatize the late actor-turned-politician’s journey from “a superstar heroine” to “a revolutionary hero.”
When announcing Thalaivi’s wrap, Kangana shared a photo of Jayalalithaa and another of her in similar outfit and makeup. “And it’s a summary, today we successfully completed the filming of our most ambitious project Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader, rarely does an actor find a character that comes to life in the flesh and I fall so much in love but now suddenly it is time to say goodbye mixed feelings, ”he wrote on Twitter, describing the film as a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’.
