Some days, work meetings pile up back to back. Now, a new feature from Microsoft will allow you to install customizable automatic breaks to give you some relief.

“Wall-to-wall meetings increase stress and make it harder to stay focused and engaged. And our research shows that even sliding time between these meetings can help,” Microsoft said Tuesday in a blog post .

Using the feature, you can determine the length of breaks and whether they come at the beginning or end of your meetings. If your company enables the feature, it can set a default such as the start of each meeting five minutes late.

In the post, Microsoft quoted research related to hybrid work. And in this age of home working, research shows that there is always a cost to the digital world of work. Research by the Social Sciences Research Network found that nearly 14% of women and 5.5% of men felt “right” to “remarkable” fatigued after Zoom calls.
