Actor R Madhavan addressed speculation about him playing businessman and philanthropist Ratan Tata in a movie. He clarified that he has not signed any project of this type nor has he been in talks to do so. Speaking of the poster circulating online, he said it was a fan-made poster.
“@ActorMadhavan Is it true that you are going to play a leading role in Ratan Tata Biopic? if this happens, it will be a great inspiration to many, “a Twitter user asked Madhavan.
“Hey, sadly not true. It was just a wish that some fans made the poster. No project of this type is in the process or being discussed, ”he replied.
Madhavan most recently appeared in Hemant Madhukar’s thriller Nishabdham, opposite Anushka Shetty. The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video and was not well received by critics and audiences.
In an interactive Twitter session, when Madhavan was asked by a fan what made him say yes to a ‘mistake’ in a movie like Nishabdham, he replied, “Well, you win something. You lose something … what can I say? … we try to do our best. “
Lately, Madhavan has focused on his Tamil projects. Four years have passed since his last Hindi release, Saala Khadoos, in which he played a hotheaded boxing coach. He will next be seen in Maara, a remake of the Malayalam movie Charlie, alongside Shraddha Srinath. The movie will be out on Amazon Prime Video on December 17.

Meanwhile, Madhavan is making his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. He was originally co-directing the film with Ananth Mahadevan, who withdrew due to “unavoidable circumstances and certain pressing commitments.” He will also play the lead role in the film.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of aerospace engineer S Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist with the Indian Space Research Organization who was falsely accused of espionage.
