The Redmi K40 Enhanced Game Edition will come with MediaTek Dimensionity 1200 SoC, Xiaomi has confirmed the rumor details on Weibo. The flagship chipset is based on 6nm process technology and includes support for up to 200-megapixel camera. The upcoming Redmi phone is also provoked to have a brand new heat dissipation system made from aerospace grade materials. Besides, some details about the Redmi K40 Game “Standard Edition” have surfaced online which may come alongside the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
Xiaomi has posted some teasers on Weibo to confirm the presence of the octa-core MediaTek Dimensionity 1200 SoC. The company claimed that the new chipset will enable high-end gaming, along with stable performance and lower power consumption.
MediaTek Dimensionity 1200 was launched in January, and was shown on Realme GT Neo in China in late March. Realme is also planning to launch its first Dimension 1200 powered smartphone in India “very soon” which could be the Realme GT Neo.
In addition to the details on the chipset, Xiaomi has posted a teaser that shows Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition getting 724,495 ratings on AnTuTu benchmark app.
The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition smartphone will also feature the new heat dissipation system made from low-dielectric and high-conductivity material used in rockets. Further, it is claimed that the phone has a thin and light profile and will appear for the first time with Rheinland’s TUV certification.
Xiaomi is hosting the launch of Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition in China on April 27. Meanwhile, it recently revealed that the smartphone will feature hidden shoulder buttons.
The Redmi K40 series which so far includes the regular Redmi K40 as well as the Redmi K40 Pro and the Redmi K40 Pro + was launched in February. It was expected to bring some game-focused features. However, the company opted to bring some gaming accessories instead of offering any pre-loaded features for mobile gamers. That could be a strategy to make room for the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition.
In addition to the teasers for the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, the benchmark app Master Lu has shared some details about a questionable Redmi phone with model number M2104K10AC. This appears in relation to the Redmi K40 Enhanced Game Edition which appeared on certification websites with model numbers M2102K10C and M2104K10C. Therefore, this is speculated to be the “Standard Edition” of the Redmi K40 Game.
The benchmark app suggests the phone has an unannounced Redmi MediaTek Dimensionity 1100 SoC, along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is also speculated that the phone has a full-HD + display.
Those interested will have to wait until next week to see if Xiaomi launches the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition only or also the Redmi K40 Game Standard Edition in parallel.
