  • Samsung’s first Galaxy M series tablet is reportedly in the works.
  • Dubbed Galaxy Tab M62, the device is said to have 256GB of storage.
  • The tablet is likely to fall between the budget lines Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab S.

Samsung’s Galaxy M series is reportedly awaiting the arrival of a new member, but it may not be a mid-range smartphone. According to 91Mobiles, the next Galaxy M device will be a tablet called the Galaxy Tab M62.

With the model number SM-M625F, not much is known about the mysterious device today. It was initially thought to be the top-end Galaxy M smartphone for 2021, but if the new report is true, it will be the first member of the Galaxy M series tablet.

The Galaxy Tab M62 is likely to sit below the flagship Galaxy Tab S but above the budget Galaxy Tab A series. Like its smartphone siblings, the M-series tablet can also cater to mid-range buyers in countries like India. If you want flagship specs, you’ll probably still have to shell out for the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

Samsung Galaxy Tab M62: What can we expect?

According to the report, the Galaxy Tab M62 is said to arrive with 256GB of storage, a decidedly healthy figure for a mid-range tablet. We can make a guess about the tablet’s battery. Considering that some members of the Galaxy M series smartphones, like the Galaxy M51, already have 7,000 mAh cells, it would not be an exaggeration to imagine a similar capacity in a device the size of a tablet.

Other key specs, availability and pricing information remain unknown at this time, but we expect more information to emerge in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you’re looking for a new tablet, take a look at our list of the best deals available below.
