New Delhi: Indians are slowly but steadily getting used to smart home devices and tech companies have doubled down on their efforts to attract more users to the country as millions are staying home due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
From smart home speakers to floor cleaning robots, Internet of Things (IoT) product categories have increased significantly for consumers.
Led by Amazon Echo devices, smart home speaker shipments are expected to exceed 7.5 lakh units in India by the end of this year, which is an all-time high, according to data provided by market research firm techARC.

Apple HomePod Mini
The HomePod Mini works with the Apple S5 chip. It uses a full-range driver and a pair of passive force-canceling radiators that allow for deep bass and high frequencies. The smart speaker features a three-microphone array.

Realme Smart Cam
Realme Smart Cam is a 360 degree home security camera. It also comes with an AI motion sensor that can detect movement in a room and alert the user. Also, it comes with infrared night vision.
It also supports a micro SD card for recording up to 128GB. The camera also supports a ‘Night Vision Mode’. It also features motion detection, two-way voice, and real-time alerts.

Xiaomi recently introduced the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P in India as the company further expands its Mi Ecosystem product line.
Priced at Rs 24,999, the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop P features a two-in-one sweeping and mopping feature, smart app control, and an LDS (laser distance sensor) navigation system that intelligently maps your home, among other things. .
It has 12 different sensors to prevent the vacuum cleaner from falling, colliding with obstacles and finding the spring or stopping working as soon as it is blocked.
Echo Dot (4th generation)
Amazon Echo Dot (4th generation) is another Alexa-powered device that comes with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) that make Alexa more natural, conversational, and useful.
