The Fortuner TRD has been pulled from the shelves as Toyota prepares to launch the Fortuner facelift.
Toyota no longer offers Fortuner TRD in India. The SUV has been removed from the official website.
The Fortuner TRD positioned itself above the standard model and stood out thanks to its two-tone exterior, sporty front grille, different bumpers, and black alloy wheels. The SUV came with completely black interiors and was equipped with the special technology package as standard. This included features such as a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a front-view display, a digital video recorder, an air ionizer, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Fortuner TRD was powered by a 2.8 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine producing 175 BHP and 450 Nm. The engine was mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that came with shift paddles.
Toyota is expected to launch the Fortuner facelift sometime in early 2021. The Fortuner Legender is also rumored to be offered in India.
