Twitter responds to Sid Kaul’s hilarious collapsing catch leaving referee on the field confused

There is no shortage of talent in cricketers and today Sid Kaul showed that he can have an alternate career in stand-up comedy as that was his humiliating conviction. Not only did he drop custody but he even left the referee confused, as the officer had no clue whether it was four or six.

A day game in Chepauk was expected to soak up our excitement given the high-scoring match between Bangalore and Kolkata, the last time an afternoon encounter had taken place. But soon we were back to the mill cricket run at Chepauk, which is usually a snooze-fest.

PBKS scored just 32 runs in the Powerplay balloons and on a sticky surface, with batting proving to be challenging. Even aggressive duo Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle were fairly cautious before Mayank left on bowling Khaeel Ahmed in the seventh over. And as fate would have it, Nicholas Pooran was desperate to be run out on the next ball. And shortly thereafter, on the third tradition of Vijay Shankar’s eighth over, there was another opportunity for Hyderabad. To their disappointment, he went begging.

Deepak Hooda, facing his second ball, went for a hook shot, but mishandled the ball. Siddarth Kaul, who was positioned at his slim leg, now made a jump attempt but the ball went over his head. But here there was a turn. At first, it looked as though there was nothing wrong with the attempt but it is later discovered that Kaul made an epic blunder. The SRH controller had made a huge mistake as he was well inside when he needed to be near the ropes, and the ball flew, strangely, over his head and bounced in front of the ropes.

David Warner was stunned. Kaul could not reflect on what had just happened. He was judged so funny so badly that he even messed up the referee’s head when he first signed six to change it to four seconds later. Admittedly, Kaul has some skills to leave one and all in cracks.

Amazingly Umpiring! : P.

He wasn’t sure what he saw!
