Skoda Vision IN

Skoda has started production of the compact SUV based on the Vision IN concept.
Skoda is also preparing to introduce a new compact SUV in India that will be based on the Vision IN concept. The model has been tested several times and according to the latest news reports, Skoda Auto India has registered trademarks for five new model names with the design of patents and trademarks of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, one of which is Skoda Kliq. We have now been guessing that this next SUV will adopt this name and Skoda has confirmed that it will be manufactured locally in India. The new model will be a challenging Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos and will hit showrooms in mid-2021. Skoda has also stated that the model will be on par with the rest of the brand’s range in terms of quality and reliability. refers. Along with quality and durability, the model will also adopt the design language of the Skoda family. We will most likely see similar familiar design elements to what we had already seen on the Vision IN concept earlier this year and even on the test mule that has been seen recently. So the production model will feature basic design cues like the 3D grille with the winged arrow logo mounted on top, and you’ll also expect some sharp sculpting lines on the face and along the profile. And also, the wide Skoda lettering is likely to be seen on the trunk. When it comes to engines, we already know that the India 2.0 strategy is focused on localization and we expect Skoda to develop and manufacture locally a new four-cylinder turbo engine for this compact SUV. Obviously, the SUV will also be well equipped on the inside. So expect to see all the luxury features like wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, and premium interiors, among others.
Volkswagen taigun

The Volkswagen Taigun will be a sister unit to the Skoda Vision IN-based compact SUV.
The Volkswagen Taigun will be the sister unit of the Skoda Vision IN and will be supported by the same MQB AO IN platform. Although mechanically we expect it to be identical to the Skoda Vision IN-based compact SUV, the styling will be in line with Volkswagen’s familiar design language. Elements like the muscular hood, a wide grille that will be flanked by horizontally stacked LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. In reference to what we can remember from the concept car we saw at Auto Expo, the production spec Taigun will likely also feature sporty alloy wheels, a more robust wheel arch liner, roof rails and taillights. LEDs joined by a reflective strip and smoked details. The concept vehicle’s cabin came with premium interior body-color sports panels on the dash, center console and doors, along with two-tone black and gray upholstery. Jeep compass facelift

Jeep has made subtle changes to the front of the Compass Facelift.
The India-bound Jeep Compass Facelift was introduced in China earlier this year and has been seen testing in India quite frequently. From what we can gather, the design hasn’t changed much, except for the restyled front bumper. The iconic seven-strip grille remains intact while flanked by a new set of LED headlights, but the shape of these headlight sets has not changed. Even the cabin of the Compass will remain largely unchanged, while we can see an updated infotainment system unit. Under the hood, the 2020 Compass will likely continue to use the existing 2.0-liter Multi-jet diesel engine and 1.4-liter Multi-Air gasoline engine. Both engines will come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a nine-speed torque converter gearbox will be optional on the diesel iteration and a seven-speed automatic DCT will be seen on the gasoline model. However, the model with American specifications has a new 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, with a plug-in hybrid variant (PHEV) and a 1.6-liter Multi-jet diesel engine, but we cannot say if this mills are under consideration for our market.

Citroën is set to make its foray into the Indian automotive market with the C5 Aircross and the compact SUV will be assembled locally at CK Birla’s Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu. The Citroen C5 Aircross has been seen testing several times in India and the SUV looks almost the same as what we saw when the company announced the start of its operations in India. The wide grille flanked by split headlamps creates a tomboy-looking face, and the rounded edges give it an attractive, very urban crossover style. The cabin will be finished in two-tone upholstery along with soft-touch materials. It will also be offered with the brand’s latest connected technology and a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include a flat-bottomed steering wheel, a fully digital instrument console with a TFT display, and dual-zone climate control, among others.
